Q: How do I get my consumers to think of me as more than the manufacturer of a product?
Tim: We all look at brands in a relational way, and as a product we become attached to. What makes your brand unique? Original? What is the process that makes consumers want to become a participant with your product?


Q: How do I get my consumers to become emotionally attached to a product?
Tim: It's all about knowing your type. You have to ask the question, "Who is that consumer that is really going to like your product, and associate themselves with what you offer?" Build from your specific attributes to what makes your consumer type connect with you.

Q: Is the use of social media a real strategy?
Tim: The use of Social Networks is not an "or", it's an "and." It's another way to talk to and connect with the consumer and bring your message to life. And in terms of use, you can connect with consumers more often - You can pulse those communications. It's all about knowing your type. You have to ask the question, "Who is that consumer that is really going to like your product, and associate themselves with what you offer?" Build from your specific attributes to what makes your consumer type connect with you.


Q: What can we do that the best brands are doing?
Tim: The top brands make sure that that FIRST time they meet the consumer, it's a special occurence, and is meaningful. That includes all aspects of marketing: making sure your product delivers, that your website and social networks represent you appropriately. It's hard to recover from a bad first impression.
